ALEXIS MABILLE HAUTE COUTURE AUTUMN WINTER 2016-2017 PARIS FASHION WEEK

French  designer Alexis Mabille has showed Haute Couture collection  Fall-Winter 2016-2017 for his label Alexis Mabille on 5 of July in Paris. He could be named  classic of French Couture who made his collections for young ladies. Designer  mentioned he now has client in their late teens. “They don’t want to go to where their grandmothers go” he said. Mabille first started sewing when he was eight and by the time he was a teenager was designing clothes for his family and friends.

There were twenty-three passages of perfection, models replaced with muses and friends, they moved under Barbara Streisand song as soundtrack. This collection in pastel colours was inspired by works of American painter, sculptor and photographer Edwin Parker “Cy” Twombley, Jr. Alexis Mabille described it: “A bit traditional but with a cooler feeling. The idea of this collection was to be in the pure tradition of couture, but to modernize it with a cool attitude”.
