GUO PEI HAUTE COUTURE AUTUMN WINTER 2016-2017 PARIS FASHION WEEK

Chinese designer Guo Pei has showed Haute Couture collection Fall-Winter 2016-2017 for her label Guo Pei on 3 of July in Paris. She creates dresses for celebrities such as pop singer Rihanna and actress Zhang Ziyi. She designed costumes for opera, also the costumes for the 2008 Beijing Olympics medal award ceremony. This show was reflected how much she has spent for creating this collection. The collection was spectacular and memorable. Especially, all guests was inspired of satin cushions on the seats.

“I am all about perfection. I have been adapting the strictest standards from the very beginning, using the best fabrics in the world. I have been to a yarn factory in Italy near a snow mountain that sits in Switzerland, with over 100 years of history. I always have a desire to create something that is fashion and is not fashion. So a dress ends up weighing 50 kilos! Every piece is not fashion anymore. It’s sculpture; it’s painting.I want to put all that into a dress” all these her words confirmed that The brand has become a symbol of China’s booming economy.
