Lebanese designer Tony Ward presented his Haute Couture collection Spring-Summer 2017 for his label Tony Ward on 23 of January in Paris. Tony Ward got his studies in Paris at the best French tailoring school. He described his creativity in 3 words :”Structured, feminine, timeless”. “I gather my inspiration from my readings, art, architecture and films”.  He created genuine architectural lines that reflect the geometric accomplishment ,mixture of poetry, courage and feminineness.

This collection was inspired of character of Aelia Eudocia, heroine of Byzantine era. Let’s make a jump to history. Aelia Eudocia was the Greek wife of Roman emperor Theodosius II  and a prominent historical figure. As well as being politically active, Eudocia expressed herself through poetry, penning a number of works, some of which are still extant. “Tony Ward reflects her boldness and modernism on his designs. Through the eyes of the designer, the Byzantine Fashion is rethought and the rich mosaic patterns are seen through a new, contemporary eye” reported press-release.
