ANTONIO ORTEGA HAUTE COUTURE SPRING SUMMER 2016-2017 PARIS FASHION WEEK
Mexican-born designer Antonio Ortega presented spring-summer Haute Couture collection 2016 for his label Antonio Ortega 25 of January in Paris. This collection has name “Encounters” and it was inspired by designer’s personal encounters with three exceptional women artisans, all of whom excel within their own skillset. Senora Ines and Senora Cameria Teresa, both masters in the art of crochet and Veronique Loupe who specialises in making lace. The powerful image of these women reflected in this collection.
Antonio Ortega created flawless asymmetric and overlapping constructed shapes accompany tops that follow the curves of the body with beautiful embroideries, based on idea of a contemporary design in constant movement. Skirts, shimmering with a delicate, modern cut, follow extravagant dresses in bright colours. Designer used chiffon, silk crepe, cotton, tweed, riveted leather, taffeta, feathers. A style that personifies diversity, joy and sence of humour. “My vision of couture is constant evolution” consider Antonio Ortega.
