RAHUL MISHRA READY-TO-WEAR SPRING-SUMMER 2016, PARIS FASHION WEEK
Rahul Mishra in his spring summer collection 2016 offered us to discover the fourth dimension enhancing 3D, with the touch of human hand, 3 of October in Paris. The collection created neolithic vision of age-old crafts through which one can see past, present and future all at once, strung together in the shape of an ever-expanding Escher painting. Rahul Mishra built this collection on juxtaposition of different textures, elements and shapes : sheer and opaque, drape and structure. “Rahul Mishra’s approach to building his burgeoning brand is rooted in his respect for the provenance of his materials, the sustainability of his production lines and the necessary preservation of India’s traditional craftsmanship and its craftsmen and women” observe Business of Fashion.
The main essential tool of designer revisit the past through human hands in a world ruled by technology and fight the constant time and space to look into the future – to preserve the unseen hand of the skilled artisan who painstakingly beats technology to infuse individual hand skill in creating a couture. “My idea is to create new jobs which help (people) in their own villages – I take work to them rather than calling them to work for me. If villages are stronger you will have a stronger country, a stronger nation, a stronger world. So my entire idea, my entire philosophy, revolves around that. The product will go through evolution – it will change, it will improve – but a philosophy is what is constant” commented Rahul Mishra.
