DICE KAYEK HAUTE COUTURE SPRING SUMMER 2016-2017 PARIS FASHION WEEK
Turkish designer Ece Ege presented spring-summer Haute Couture collection 2016 for label Dice Kayek (where she is co-founder) 25 of January in Paris. Needless to say, in 2013, three pieces from its Istanbul Contrast collection, which evoked Istanbul’s architectural heritage, won the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Jameel Prize
III, an international award for contemporary art and design inspired by Islamic traditions.
This collection is vibrant example of modern couture, look to the sophisticated peplum and voluminous bell silhouettes from Dice Kayek. Inspired by architecture and fairy tales, these pieces receive the impeccable attention that’s usually reserved
for eveningwear alone. Pair them with flats and prepare to represent the latest in luxury — daytime couture. “Today, couture clients are getting younger and I believe they would love to wear something short and elegant, more girlish and romantic. It’s important to do young haute couture; young in terms of energy” summed up designer.
