“ANATOMIE D’UNE COLLECTION” PALAIS GALLIERA
Palais Galliera ,as usual, presented fashion exhibition “Anatomie d’une collection” (“Anatomy of a Collection”) from 14 of May to 23 of Octomber 2016 in Paris. The main point of this exhibition shows changing of time through fashion, it draws on the museum collection for around a hundred garments and accessories illustrating garments from garderobs of celebrities from the 18th century to the present day. All this heritage let us to imagine who worn what.
The richness of Palais Galliera funds discover collection of corsets, including corset of Marie-Antoinette’s, The Dauphin’s suit, Napoleon’s waistcoat, Empress Josephine’s dress. Examples of blouses of a nurse First World War, a worker’s trousers continues theme of history in anatomy of a collection. As known, fashion and celebrity are brothers-twins. In this case exhibition presented hat of Gala Dali, dress of Duchess of Windsor, outfit of Audrey Hepburn, cape of Sarah Bernhardt, dress of Sarah Bernard and many others unique and fabulous pieces that reflected style of life famous persons.
